I liked the bit about mercy and healing not needing to be earned. A few years ago, I went to Haiti with a Christian NGO that delivers clean water to the residents in Cite Soleil. One of my dear friends asked what the people had to do to get the water. I said that they just have to bring a receptacle. There is no altar call or anything first. Just showing love and mercy to them by bringing them water.
